Esthesis is a French post-progressive and alternative rock project.
Between cinematic atmospheres, art rock experiments and sharp riffs, the music invites the listener on a melancholic journey through airy and powerful ambiences, with industrial and post-rock touches.
Formed and led by Aurélien Goude (music and lyrics, keyboards, vocals), the line up also includes Arnaud Nicolau (drums), Marc Anguill (bass guitar), Rémi Geyer (lead guitar) and Mathilde Collet (backing vocals). Esthesis already released 2 full-length albums ("Watching Worlds Collide" and "The Awakening"), both available on French label Misty Tones. Esthesis has been acclaimed by many rock magazines around the world, including Prog UK and Rock Hard, and was awarded “Album of the Year” by Album Rock and Music Waves.
During their latest tour, Esthesis played notably at the Poppodium Boerderij as a headliner (with John Mitchell on support), at the Night Of The Prog Festival (Loreley) opening for Soen and Leprous, and at Motocultor Festival with Crippled Black Phoenix and Opeth. In 2026, they will tour in Poland at Ostrow Rock Festival, with Avkrvst and Ihlo.
Released on 31 October 2025, the highly anticipated new album "OUT OF STEP" is currently available exclusively on Bandcamp in order to prioritize physical formats - https://esthesis.bandcamp.com
